20/06/2002 - EU Commission to co-funds new training schemes

The EU Commission has announced a tender for new training courses, organised by established European film & audiovisual schools, production companies and industry operators. The aim is to bring industry professionals fully up-to-speed on all aspects of digital technology and its growing importance in the industry, and the Commission will guarantee an upper limit of 50% of each project´s budget. The deadline for submitting ideas is 16 August 2002.
Courses in the following subjects are eligible to receive EU funding: the application of digital technology to producing and distributing audiovisual products; financial and sales management and technical innovation in screenwriting.
