Matt Routledge’s debut feature, a conspiracy thriller titled The Awakening, entered production at Pinewood Studios in London last week. Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Daniel O’Riley and Eddie Hall (Expendables 4) have joined the main cast of the new UK production alongside the previously announced Justin Tinto, Peter Stormare, Steven Berkoff, Matt Hookings and Julian Glover. The announcement was first reported by Variety.
The picture, penned by the director with Tinto and Kyle Carmean, follows Jason Byrd (Tinto) and Rebecca (Eve) as they uncover a worldwide conspiracy aimed at controlling the globe. Their investigation leads them into a maze of secrets and dangers, making their quest to expose the truth a race against time.
Key creatives include DoP László Bille (who worked as a camera operator on high-profile projects such as Dune [+see also:

Tim Kent and Hookings are producing the feature for Camelot Media (UK) and Awakening Productions (UK), with Eve serving as executive producer.
