Shot in Vendée between 29 May and 2 July, L’épreuve du feu, the debut feature by Aurélien Peyre (known for the short films Coqueluche and La bande à Juliette), is now in post-production. film profile]), the screenplay revolves around 19-year-old Hugo. As is the case every summer, he is spending his holidays in the small family home on an island in the Atlantic. But this year, things are different: Hugo has undergone a physical transformation and arrives in the company of his girlfriend, Queen, a beautician whose vivaciousness and long, rhinestone-adorned nails clash with the young man's sobriety and shyness. Soon enough, the couple starts to attract everyone's gaze.
Produced by Bruno Levy on behalf of Move Movie, L’épreuve du feu is pre-purchased by Canal+ and enjoys the support of the Pays de la Loire region. Photography is entrusted to Inès Tabarin (Ama Gloria [+see also:
