The Flemish actress, Laurien Van den Broeck , has won the prize for the Best Young Actress for her part in the film by Paula van der Oest, Moonlight, at the 18th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in Florida. The romantic thriller, in English, is produced by the Dutch company Staccato Films, and it also stars Johan Leysen and Jemma Redgrave.

Laurien Van den Broeck has been working in the cinema since 1995, and she has played major roles, for example in André Van Duren’s film, Mariken. She can currently be seen in domestic cinemas starring in the box office hit, The Alzheimer Case [+see also:
