Written by the director, the story revolves around Maxine, an American filmmaker embarking on a life and death journey as she arrives in Paris for Fashion Week, where her life will collide with those of two other women.
Produced by Charles Gillibert for CG Cinema in association with Zhang Xin and William Horberg of New York firm Closer Media, Couture is currently being shot in Paris (until January at least), with André Chémétoff (of The World to Come and the series Euphoria) heading up photography. World sales are steered by Hanway Films and distribution in French cinemas by Pathé.
For the record, CG Cinema’s current activities include co-producing Resurrection by Chinese director Bi Gan (on which filming is due to wrap) and three tantalising titles currently in post-production: Father, Mother, Sister, Brother by Jim Jarmusch, La disparition by Kirill Serebrennikov and The Chronology of Water by Kristen Stewart.
