The Göteborg Film Festival’s Nordic Film Market is set to launch the Nordic Gateway at its upcoming edition, a new initiative aimed at connecting international feature-film projects with Nordic partners. Highlighting five selected projects from established filmmakers and production teams, the platform is designed to foster co-production and financing opportunities.

Scheduled for 30 January, the Nordic Gateway will showcase five carefully curated projects currently at the financing stage. These projects, selected through partnerships with notable international forums such as the MIDPOINT Institute, the AGORA Crossroads Co-production Forum and Flanders Image, will be pitched to producers, sales agents and financiers. The day-long event will culminate in an awards ceremony announcing the recipient of the Tint Post-Production Award.

Presented by Gothenburg-based studio Tint, the 400,000 SEK (€35,000) award includes advanced colour grading and access to a Dolby Atmos theatrical mixing stage. Tint, a prominent name in post-production with facilities in Gothenburg and Stockholm, has contributed to numerous internationally recognised films, including Cannes winners and Oscar nominees. The winner will be chosen by a jury of industry professionals, with the award supporting the artistic vision and technical needs of the selected project.

The Nordic Gateway is part of the larger Nordic Film Market, which takes place from 29-31 January, and features screenings, works in progress and films in development. The event, alongside TV Drama Vision (28-29 January), serves as a major hub for Nordic and international collaboration in film and television. The full line-up of Nordic films participating in the market will be announced in January. For more details and early-bird accreditation, available until 6 December, industry professionals are encouraged to visit the Göteborg Film Festival’s official website.
