The CinEuro Prize returns in 2025 with a renewed ambition: to encourage film projects that explore the complex links between different European territories. This year marks an important milestone with the integration of Northwestern Switzerland, thanks to Balimage, thus expanding the CinEuro territory.
The initiative aims to stimulate transnational co-productions while preserving a unique European identity in the face of the growing standardisation of audiovisual content. Filmmakers are invited to submit long-form or series projects that weave innovative narrative connections between partner regions.
The CinEuro Prize covers the following regions:
- Brussels-Capital Region
- Wallonia (including Ostbelgien)
- Luxembourg
- Saarland
- Rhineland-Palatinate
- Baden-Württemberg
- Grand Est
- Northwestern Switzerland
The application deadline is 28 February 2025, while the prize money stands at €30,000 for fiction projects and €15,000 for documentaries.
Interested filmmakers must submit their projects in development via the CinEuro website. The main criterion is to establish a significant narrative link between the participating territories.
