Slovakia’s IFF Art Film Košice (unspooling from 20-27 June 2025) is preparing to showcase three competitive sections – the International Competition of Feature Films, International Competition of Short Films, and International Competition of Central and Eastern European Films – alongside more than ten non-competitive strands. Organisers expect to screen over 130 films during the event.
The prestigious Blue Angel Award, accompanied by a financial prize, will be presented to the best film in each competition section. In the International Competition of Feature Films, the spotlight will be on directors presenting their first, second or third movie, with additional prizes recognising the best director and performances by leading female and male actors.
The International Competition of Short Films welcomes entries across all genres, including fiction, documentary, animation and experimental works, provided they are under 30 minutes in length. Meanwhile, the International Competition of Films from Central and Eastern Europe celebrates features by filmmakers from this region, with no restrictions on genre or the director's filmography.
Films can be submitted via the official website.
