New export chief at Film Council

The woman who has been in charge of international marketing at the UK Film Council (FC), Sarah McKenzie, has just been appointed to the new post of Senior Executive, Export Development.

Her new responsibilities will include developing a range of initiatives in coordination with other UK film bodies to promote and support UK film exports internationally starting with Europe, the US, India and China.

Commenting on the nomination, Steve Norris, the British Film Commissioner responsible for the UK FC’s inward investment and export promotion activities, said “The UK has a wealth of film talent both in front of and behind the camera, and the success of films such as Bend It Like Beckham [+see also:
