A moment from last year's edition

The CEE Animation Forum, one of the leading events for pitching, financing, and co-production of European animated film projects, has launched a call for projects for its 2025 edition.

Animators, producers, directors and other industry professionals are invited to submit their animation projects currently in development or production. The 13th edition of the CEE Animation Forum will take place from 4–6 November 2025 in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

Submissions are accepted in four categories: Features, Series/TV specials, Shorts, and Student Films, with specific guidelines for each category regarding length and development stage. The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2025.

“As the European animation industry continues to evolve, the CEE Animation Forum remains an important platform for driving creative collaboration and innovation,” says Marta Jallageas, managing director of the CEE Animation Forum. “We are proud to provide a space for high-quality, artistically-driven animation, where both emerging and established professionals can showcase their distinctive style, while also developing projects with real business potential and market success.”

Every year, around 200 film professionals from across Europe gather to attend the Forum’s highlight: the pitching competition featuring the most promising European animation projects. Through its complementary activities, Market and one-on-one meetings, the CEE Animation Forum places great emphasis on building lasting networks to explore co-production, financing, and distribution opportunities.

The CEE Animation Forum is financially supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA, the Czech Audiovisual Fund, the Czech Audiovisual Producers’ Association, and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
