The story was written by Asghar Farhadi and adapted by Massoumeh Lahidji, but is being kept under wraps for the time being.

Parallel Tales will be produced by Alexandre Mallet-Guy on behalf of Memento Production (now on their fifth film with Asghar Farhadi) in co-production with David Levine for American firm Anonymous Content, Andrea Occhinpinti for Italian outfit Lucky Red and, on the Belgian side, André Logie for Panache Productions and Gaëtan David for La Compagnie Cinématographique. World sales will fall to Charades (except in the USA where UTA will take the lead) while the film’s release in French cinemas is entrusted to Memento Distribution.
