Brazil triumphs at the Platino Awards with I’m Still Here

This Sunday 27 April, the 12th edition of the Platino awards ceremony was held in Madrid, for series and films from 23 Ibero-American countries. I’m Still Here [+see also:

won three major awards: Best Ibero-American Fiction Film, Best Director (for Walter Salles) and Best Actress (for Fernanda Torres and her striking work), becoming the first Brazilian production to win the awards for Best Film and Best Director in the history of these awards.

The Platino Awards are promoted by EGEDA (Audiovisual Producers' Rights Management Association) and FIPCA (Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers), with the aim of promoting and disseminating the Ibero-American film and audiovisual industry, boosting its recognition and expansion worldwide.
