After the centre dedicated to Pedro Almodovar, the Aragon region and the Teruel province have joined together, in collaboration with the municipality of Calanda and the Cassa Rurale in Tuerel, to set up a Luis Buñuel Study Centre. It will be based in Calanda, the city where the filmmaker was born.
Each of the four different institutions will put in the sum of €9,000 to promote a whole host of activities based around the great artist. These initiatives include conferences, congresses, courses the publication of a collection of volumes about the director and the creation of a centre holding documents about the works and life of Buñuel, which will be open to the public.
