The Lo Que Viene film and series festival, organised by the Association of Film Journalists of Spain (AICE), will be held from 8 to 11 July in Tenerife. The event will offer a selection of titles set to be released soon.

One of the highlights is the Premieres section, featuring previews of some of the summer's new releases. Among them is El molino, directed by Alfonso Cortés-Cavanillas, which tells the story of Mayte (played by Pilar López de Ayala), an engineer who returns to a small town to carry out an important project. , directed by Lois Patiño, an adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest starring Irene Escolar, which joins this section after its premiere at the IFFR. Another premiere will be La coleccionista by Manu Sanabria and Joaquín Llamas, a genre film set in a small border town between Spain and Portugal, starring Daniel Grao, Maggie Civantos and Paco Tous. Carmen Machi and Pilar Castro, the stars of Furia, an HBO series by Félix Sabroso that will premiere on 11 July on the platform, will also attend the festival. This section will close with the feature film Voy a pasármelo mejor, directed by Ana de Alva, which will hit Spanish cinemas on 18 July.

The Presentations section will see Spanish platforms, production companies and distributors announcing their projects. Inicia Films will present Ceniza en la boca by Diego Luna (read more); Tornasol will introduce Morir no siempre sale bien by Claudia Pinto (read more); Sunrise Pictures will present Parecido a un asesinato by Antonio Hernández (read more); and the Canary Islands company El Viaje Films will showcase Emergency Exit by Lluís Miñarro, which was Marisa Paredes’s last film (read more). ); and Morena Films will show images from  A una isla de ti, filmed in the Canary Islands and directed by Alexis Morante. Filmin will present the series Millennial mal, by Lorena Iglesias and Andrea Jaurrieta, and will also screen the first episode of the documentary series ¿No seré yo una obra de arte?, which will be available on the platform soon. It follows singer Samantha Hudson across Spain as she interviews major figures from the contemporary art world with her sharp gaze. Finally, La Caña Sisters will present Luna [+see also:

Natacha Mora (head of Canary Islands Film) and Jaime Romero (member of the executive committee of the Canary Islands Audiovisual Cluster and CEO of Macaronesia Films) will outline the benefits of filming in the Canary Islands. Round tables will discuss women at the helm of festivals and Artificial Intelligence in the audiovisual sector.
