Written by Thomas Ngijol, Giulio Callegari (Robot T-O [+see also:
trailer
film profile]) and Yohan Zaoui, the story takes us to Paris in the 1980s when heroine trafficking is taking over the capital. A pair of old-school cops, Yvon Kastendeuch and Johnny Lansky, continue to hold the fort… until the latter is taken down. In an attempt to bring down the network, Yvon is placed at the helm of an experimental unit, Police Flash 80, where he finds himself having to team up with young recruits whose modern methods are a far cry from those of our alpha male, whose interests include Michel Sardou and andouillette sausages…

Produced by Romain Rousseau and Maxime Delauney on behalf of Nolita and by Pathé (which is also managing distribution in France and steering world sales), Police Flash 80 was shot in Paris and the Île-de-France region, with Julien Roux overseeing photography.

For the record, Nolita is currently helming post-production on Rachel Lang’s Mata (read our news) and will be releasing Édouard Pluvieux’s comedy Y a pas de réseau in French cinemas on 6 August.
