Amanda Collin and Anders W Berthelsen headline Mikkel Serup’s comedy The Swindle
- The actors lead the cast of a crime comedy about an unlikely partnership between a master con artist and a police detective, currently shooting across Denmark

Danish director Mikkel Serup has begun principal photography on The Swindle (Svindler), a crime comedy blending action, intrigue and humour. The film brings together two of Denmark’s most recognisable performers, Amanda Collin and Anders W Berthelsen, in a story combining international flair with a distinctly local touch.
The plot follows Adrienne, a charismatic con artist pursuing the ultimate million-euro score, who is unexpectedly forced to collaborate with Søren, a burned-out and recently divorced police investigator. Their uneasy partnership leads them on a mission to bring down ruthless businessman Johan Streick. The chase stretches from London’s prestigious auction houses to the boardrooms of Denmark’s corporate elite, as well as provincial town halls and rural backdrops. When Adrienne’s elegance collides with Søren’s everyday pragmatism, sparks fly. As the duo dive deeper into dangerous territory in order to outwit one of the country’s most powerful men, they uncover unexpected truths about each other and themselves. But soon they must ask: who is deceiving whom?
Adrienne is played by Collin, one of today’s most acclaimed Danish actresses, known for A Horrible Woman [+see also:

The screenplay of The Swindle was co-written by Serup with Thor Bjørn Krebs, the creator of the series Something's Rockin' and Europamestrene, who previously collaborated with the director on the con-artist series Pros and Cons. Filming is currently underway in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Holstebro, with key locations including Aarhus harbour, Nørre Vosborg manor, Holstebro’s former slaughterhouse and the surrounding area of Slagteriet, which is now a vibrant cultural centre.
The Swindle is being produced by Jesper Zartov and Kasper Colding for The Bunch, in co-production with Nordisk Film. The project is backed by the Danish Film Institute, TV2, the West Danish Film Fund, Holstebro Municipality and the Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Nordisk Film Distribution will release the film in Denmark on 25 December 2026.
