EXCLUSIVE: Filming imminent on Rémi Bassaler’s La Dernière patiente

Monday 29 September will see the first clapperboard slam on La Dernière patiente, the debut feature film by Rémi Bassaler, who graduated from La Fémis and who already has six short films under his belt (Garde tes larmes, Invisible, Que le ciel tombe, Un rêve chinois, L’Îlien and On vénère bien les chevaux).
The cast stars Anouk Grinberg (named Best Actress in Berlin in 1996 via My Man, nominated for the Best Actress César in 1992, 1994 and 1997, and in the Best Supporting Role category in 2023 via The Innocent [+see also:

Written by the director in league with Marion Defer, the story follows Judith, a retired doctor who’s the last remaining tenant in a condemned tower block. On the day she’s supposed to move out, Judith welcomes a young pregnant woman called Aïda into her home, who’s looking to get away from her partner, Damien…
Produced by Olivier Capelli on behalf of Les Idiots, La Dernière patiente enjoys support from the Grand Est region, from the Plateau de Haye district in Nancy and from the SOFICA companies Cineventure and Cinecapital. Shooting will proceed until 25 October in Nancy and the surrounding area, notably inside the Panoramic Tower in Maxéville. Photography is entrusted to Kristy Baboul (Love Me Tender [+see also:
