Once again this year, the MIOB festival network, of which the Trieste Film Festival and Les Arcs Film Festival are members, is launching the call to participate in the fifth edition of the Lab of Cultural, Creative and Festival Journalism opens call. The programme is looking for 12 young Europeans eager to learn journalistic techniques focused on the cultural sector — especially in cinema.
For this edition, the Lab will be held in collaboration with Cineuropa, one of the leading platforms for European cinema. Participants will be coached by a Cineuropa journalist, gaining first-hand insights into the profession and international film journalism.
The Lab is a unique opportunity to participate in a festival with a press accreditation, coached alongside other fellow young journalists. Participants will be able to report on the festival’s activities, interview participating talents, and publish their articles on the MIOB and festivals’ websites.
Thanks to the collaboration with Cineuropa, young journalists will be invited to write reviews, articles, and reports about the films screened and the festival experience, with the most outstanding contribution — selected by the committee — to be kindly featured and published on Cineuropa as a special recognition of the author’s talent and commitment.
The project includes in-person attendance at one of the promoting festivals: Les Arcs Film Festival (16–20 December 2025) or the Trieste Film Festival (20–24 January, 2026).
Fill the form to apply here. The application deadline is 14 November.
