Written by Zsombor Aurél Bíró, the script centres on Dénes whose sole focus is to become the best at mixed martial arts and who’ll sacrifice anything and everything to achieve his goal. But one day his younger brother, Balázs (Gáspár László), who hasn’t been seen for nine years, comes back onto the scene and soon proves even more talented at combat sports than Dénes. The long-standing tension between them soon surfaces in the cage.
Produced by Marcell Szy for Forcodes Production together with Zoltán Mártonffy and Ádám Farkas for CineSuper, Switched Stance is supported by the National Film Institute (NFI), notably by way of its Incubator programme. The shoot will last a total of 33 days, mostly wrapping on 14 December in Budapest and Hajdúszoboszló, with an important sequence also set to be filmed in May 2026. Cinematography is by Dániel Császár.
