Tessa O’Connell is in love with Jay Stone: a golden boy, her best friend and the perfect man. But moving out of the friendzone is far more complicated than it seems, especially when Cole Stone is back in town: a notorious bad boy who made her childhood a nightmare, and Jay’s stepbrother. Cole was a monster who made her life impossible: cruel jokes, teasing, endless humiliations… But the boy who returns is different to the one who left: he’s taller, sharper and dangerous in a whole new way, which is far harder to ignore. Rumours run rife about Cole’s dark past, but Tessa can’t deny her feelings for him. When her perfect world begins to crumble — amidst blurring boundaries, breaking hearts and harmful gossip - Tessa must face up to an uncomfortable truth. Sometimes the person you’ve always feared is the one who best understands you. And sometimes bad boys aren’t bad at all: they’re the ones who stay when it really counts.

Written by Marçal Forés and Eduard Sola (awarded a Goya for House on Fire), the film’s photography comes courtesy of Andrea Arnone, set design is by Viviana Panfilie, and costumes are the work of Giorgia Maggi. Bad Boy’s Girl is a co-production between Italy and Spain by Raffaella and Andrea Leone on behalf of Lotus Production, belonging to the Leone Film Group, and by Gonzalo Claiman-Versini, Ricardo Costianovsky and Tomas Darcyl on behalf of Telefilms group subsidiary Diamond Films España.
