Written by the director in league with Hervé Bourhis (based on his eponymous comic book), Juliette Sales, Franck Dubosc and Fabien Suarez, the story revolves around Guy Farkas, aka Le Teckel, who’s a living legend in the world of pharmaceutical sales. Decked out in his Aviator glasses and impeccable raincoat, he always hits the mark. When a scandal rocks the prestigious Sopharma laboratory, the board send in an ambitious young executive called Marylou to help him out. Their mission is to restore the laboratory’s image... and unearth the mole who’s been leaking secrets to the press.
Le Teckel is being produced by Nolita in co-production with France 2 Cinéma, Light Holding, The Man Prod, Radar Films and Belgium’s Versus Production. Having kicked off on 4 November, shooting took place in the Charente region (in Angoulême, Ruelle, Soyaux and Cognac) until 21 November and is now continuing in Ile-de-France (the final clapperboard is due to slam on 11 December) with Julien Hirsch (awarded the César in his speciality in 2007 and nominated again in 2012, before scooping a Lumière nomination in 2019) heading up cinematography. World sales are entrusted to France tv distribution and distribution in French cinemas to Le Pacte.
For the record, Nolita are currently overseeing post-production on Mata by Rachel Lang (starring Eye Haïdara, Joséphine Japy and Raphaël Personnaz).
