The seventh Dot.on.the.map Industry Days, a co-production, training and networking platform for film-industry professionals, will take place in Limassol, Cyprus, from 23-25 April 2026. The event provides filmmakers with a valuable opportunity to connect with key representatives of the international film industry. Submissions for this year’s selection can be sent in until 27 January.

The platform runs within the framework of the 24th Cyprus Film Days International Festival, taking place from 17-25 April. The festival is an institutional event of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture, organised by the Department of Contemporary Culture in collaboration with the Rialto Theatre.

Dot.on.the.map Industry Days aims to bring together producers, directors and scriptwriters from the Mediterranean region, and the neighbouring continents of Europe, Africa and Asia. By fostering these connections, the platform encourages artistic collaborations and financial synergies, reinforcing Cyprus’s position as a creative hub for films originating from the Mediterranean.

A central feature of the event is the Dot.on.the.map Meeting Point co-production forum, which selects six to ten feature-length fiction projects currently at the development or financing stage. Selected producers, directors and scriptwriters pitch their projects to a diverse group of international film-industry professionals, including producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors, festival representatives, broadcasters and development experts. The pitching sessions are followed by group work and one-on-one meetings to facilitate meaningful partnerships. The forum is implemented in partnership with Agora, the industry platform of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

In addition to the Meeting Point, the Dot.on.the.map Cinema Talks offer master classes, panel discussions, seminars and workshops led by acclaimed industry figures. Open to industry professionals and accredited festival guests, the series of talks aims to support professional growth and provide insights into the evolving landscape of filmmaking. Details of the Cinema Talks programme will be announced at a later stage.

Applications for the Meeting Point forum are open to projects originating from countries in the Mediterranean region and on neighbouring continents. Detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria and the application process can be found on the official Cyprus Film Days website.

With its dual focus on collaboration and education, Dot.on.the.map Industry Days remains a vital platform for advancing film projects and fostering connections within the global film community. By nurturing these relationships, the event strengthens the region’s creative ecosystem and provides international professionals with a window onto Mediterranean filmmaking.
