Written by Tom Bouvier, Franck Victor and Thomas Lajon (based on an original idea by the latter), the script centres on Glawdys. As a child, she accidentally kills her parents, who are terrified of her telekinetic powers. Her uncle then isolates her in the mountains to protect her... and protect the world. At the age of 20, a gang of young runaways disturbs her solitude. She believes she has found love with Tommy, their leader. For them, her powers are just a game. But you don't play with a monster hungry for love with impunity...
Monstre is produced by Gilles Podesta for the French company Diabolo Films, Julien Becker for the Luxembourg-based Skill Lab and François Touwaide for the Belgian company Sequel Prod. Pre-bought by Ciné+ OCS, Disney+ and W9, the feature film also benefits from the support of Film Fund Luxembourg and Wallimage. The cinematography is by Finnish director of photography Anselm Havu (based in Luxembourg) and the music will be composed by Jérémy Barbedette. International sales will be handled by The Pool Films and the film will be released in French cinemas by Maverick Distribution.
