Lena Endre’s busy season

The Swedish actress who gave a memorable performance in Liv Ullmann’s Faithless, Lena Endre, is busy making two films for Sonet Film and Film i Väst.
Filming is currently underway on Simon Staho’s Dag o Natt (“Day and Night”), written by Staho together with Peter Asmussen, who co-wrote Breaking The Waves with Lars von Trier. The impressive cast also includes some of Scandinavia’s biggest stars: Mikael Persbrandt, Michael Nyqvist, Fares Fares, Pernilla August, Tuva Novotny, Maria Bonnevie and Hans Alfredson. This Danish/Swedish co-production between Zentropa Film, Sonet Film, Film I Väst and Hepp Film, will be ready in the autumn 2004.
Lena Endre is also taking the leading role in Richard Hoberts’ Tre Solar (“Three Suns”), which is currently in post-production. The film is described by the director as a “road movie on horses or a love story set in the Middle Ages”. It also stars Kjell Bergkvist, Rolf Lassgård, Maria Bonnevie and Mikael Persbrandt. Tre Solar is produced by Sonet Film with Film I Väst and Richard Hobert’s Cimbria Film. It is due to be released on Swedish screens next February.
