The Joint Venture starts up

It is called Audiovisual Industry Promotion and is a joint venture between Fiera Milano Spa, in partnership with Cinecittà Holding.
Giovanni Galoppi is the president of the new initiative, and the managing director is Carlo Bassi.
The creation of the new company was announced some months ago by the Italian Minister of Culture, Giuliano Urbani. It will be organised in two sections, focusing on two distinct areas of the audiovisual industry: the commercialisation of cinematographic products through the Market Department (MIFED) and the promotion of Italian cinema abroad, overseen by the FilmItalia Department. It's likely that a third partner will also be joining the venture, the Venice Biennale.
