Kleber Mendonça Filho to chair the jury at the Les Arcs Film Festival
- The Brazilian filmmaker will judge the movies in competition at the Alpine ski resort from 12-19 December; the event will also put Spain in the spotlight

After the likes of Ruben Östlund, Cristian Mungiu, Céline Sciamma, Michel Hazanavicius, Asghar Farhadi, Thomas Vinterberg, Dominik Moll, Cédric Kahn and Nicole Garcia, Brazilian filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho (selected three times in competition at Cannes with Aquarius, Bacurau, which scooped the Jury Prize, and last year with The Secret Agent, which won the Best Director Award and Best Actor) will chair the competition jury of the 18th Les Arcs Film Festival (12-19 December). The line-up will be unveiled on 4 November.
Also worth remembering is that the country in the spotlight this year at the Savoyard festival will be Spain (see the news). On the professional side of the Industry Village (12-15 December), the France-Spain Co-production Meetings will take place on 15 December, organised by the CNC and the ICAA, with eight Spanish projects showcased whose teams will benefit from one-to-one meetings with 30 French production companies selected by the CNC. Among these projects are 1615 by Marina Lameira Garayoa (produced by Atlantika Films, Borealis Producciones and Bjartsy Films), Estoque by Andrea Segarra Bueno (Nakamura Films and Maqueta Films), Heurtebise by Octavio Guerra and Elisa Torres (Calibrando Producciones), Meravella Vermella by María Antón Cabot (DVEIN and Suica Films), The Second Sex by Victor Alonso-Berbel (Fasten Films and Fractal), Who Knows? by Carlo Padial (Federation Spain, Studio Vibria, Corte y Confección and Cataluña Federation Studios) and Yesterday I Will Love You by Guillermo Benet (Solita Films, Ruido Blanco Cine and Saga Film).
