Good results for co-productions
The ANICA, (National Cinema Industry, Audiovisual, and Multimedia Committee) has just published figures for the Italian production in 2004. These results indicate remarkable stability compared to 2003. As a matter of fact, 96 films were produced this year (98 last year). If we add co-productions, 134 films were made this year (117 in 2003). In terms of co-productions, this year, Italy has been a majority partner for 15 of them (12 in 2003), and a minority one for the 23 others, which shows a substantial increase compared to last year’s 7 minority productions only. On the whole, co-productions amount to 38 this year, for only 19 last year.
