Seven films of cultural interest
The National Cultural Affairs Secretary has just announced the names of the first and second films of cultural interest which will benefit this year of the €4,496,000 State support funds. Seven full-length features were elected to share this sum by the sub-commission ‘Cinema’ of the ‘Activities of Cultural Interest’ section during a meeting which took place at the General Office ‘Cinema’ in Rome on the 14th and 15th of March.
Six of these projects will get 716 thousand euros each to cover production costs: Raccontami una storia by Francesca Elia, Altrove by Guido Fiandra, Notturno bus by Davide Marengo, Diletto il letto by Marco Camiti, Anne Frank - A life to remember by Dario Picciau, and Nessun messaggio in segreteria by Luca Miniero and Paolo Genovese. As the production company Blu Cinematografica Srl requested, Gas by Luciano Melchionne having already been shot, it will be given 200 thousand euros for its distribution.
