Adaptation of literary works for the screen: call for projects

Mediscript, the training programme co financed by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union on adaptation of literary works for the screen (development and writing) publishes its call for projects. The dead line to submit a proposal is 11th April 2005. MEDISCRIPT is meant for authors, directors or producers with an adaptation project. The training formula allow participants to master all the development phase by transmitting the necessary elements linked to the specificities of adaptation regarding the artistic, economic, juridical, and marketing essentials. Participants will benefit from the experience of European professionals who will help to carry out projects successfully. MEDISCRIPT takes place throughout 8 months: to begin with a seminar of 6 days after that a project follow-up period of six months completed by a second seminar of 4 days. During the seminars plenary sessions are completed with workshops and individual consultations about participating projects.

The first seminar will take place in Santa Maria di Leuca, Southern Italy in June 2005 and the second in Seville, in January 2006. The working languages of MEDISCRIPT are English, French, Italian and Spanish. The follow up will be done in the language of the project. Projects participating in MEDISCRIPT may have access to NEW TALENT, support to project development foreseen by MEDIA PLUS of the European Union.
