Manuale d’amore has just reached the top of the box-office with a 2.7-million-euro benefit this week-end. Thus, this film by Giovanni Veronesi and Carlo Verdone, distributed by Filmauro on 482 copies, won an average sum of 5,774 euros per screen, which is the highest score Cinetel registered. The American comedy Hitch (Sony) comes second with €995,000 (-47%). The new release, Lemony Snicket (Uip), gets directly to the third position with its €462,000 (on 214 copies, which means the average score per screen amounts to €2,160), while Million Dollar Baby (01 Distribution) comes fourth with €446,000 (-53%), which means its total benefit is now over €6M. Shark Tale (Uip) is fifth with €361,000 (-68%) on more than €8M (with an initial number of 372 copies now downed to 269). The sixth position is held by a new release, Hostage (Medusa), which has already won €352,000 (on 201 copies, which makes €1,756 per screen), and thus comes just before La terza stella (€320,000 euros, €1.1M total in 10 days).
According to Cinetel, a €7.2M benefit (all included) was registered this week-end, which represents 12% less than the week-end before.
