The Atelier Masterclass is recruiting

by

The Atelier Masterclass is recruiting The Atelier Masterclass of the German-French Film Academy is currently recruiting for next year. This programme was created in 2001 by the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany and the famous Fémis in France, with the support of the MEDIA Programme of the European Union, in order to encourage collaboration between these two countries. An enlargement to England is even being considered. The Masterclass consists in welcoming in Paris and Ludwigsburg 20 happy few per year and teach them all practical aspects of the European film industry (development, financing, production, distribution and marketing) while encouraging networking. Besides the seminars, workshops, and conferences given by well-established professionals, the participants attend film festivals (including Cannes and Berlin) and work on personal projects. At the end of the year, they have to make shorts films, all of which are presented in Paris (Paris tout court) and Saarbrücken (Max Ophüls) and broadcasted by ARTE. Applications are open to all graduates from cinema schools as well as young professionals or even lawyers or financial experts specialised in cinema. The condition is however to be less than 30 years old and speak French or German or be ready to learn during the year. Applications for next year are available at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg for Ludwigsburg (deadline: May 15th) and at the fémis for Paris (deadline: May 30th). Contact details :
