Non Stop’s busy Spring

Non Stop Sales has just picked up the cell phone thriller Deadly Cell for worldwide distribution and sales rights and will launch it internationally at the upcoming MIP-TV in Cannes starting 1 April.
The film in Finnish and English language is directed by Anders Engström who co-wrote the script with Thomas Borgström and produced it with Jan-Olof Svarvar for their company Sveng.com Productions. Financial support was provided by the Finnish Broadcasting Company, Swedish broadcaster SVT, Norwegian TV NRK, the Nordic Film & TV Fund, and regional film funds Österbotten Mediacommission and Film I Västerbotten.
Deadly Cell will be released as a 90 minutes feature as well as a miniseries of 3X58 minutes.

Non Stop Sales is one of four subsidiaries part of the Scandinavian Millennium Media Group AB (MMG). The group’s acquisition and distribution arm NonStop Entertainment has currently two European titles on general release in Sweden: the Greek hit and Oscars 2005 representative Politiki Kouzina (A Touch of Spice) directed by Tassos Boulmetis was released on 4 March and is still playing in Göteborg’s Filmstaden Downtown and in Stockholm’s Saga Cinema and Filmstaden Kista.
The Belgian award-winning film De Zaak Alzheimer (The Alzheimer Case) by Erik van Looy, which was Belgium’s candidate for the Oscars nomination 2005 was released by Non Stop Entertainment on 28 March and is currently playing in Stockholm’s Heron City and Sergel Cinema.
Next European film to be released in Sweden by Non Stop Entertainment is the Dutch film Shouf Shouf Habibi by Albert Ter Heerdt which will open on 22 April.
