Tomorrow, Ruth Hieronymi, German MP at the European Parliament, will present a proposal for the new MEDIA Programme (covering the period 2007 – 2013) to her fellow-deputees. Amongst the most significant changes about to be discussed, there is : an increased budget (up to 1055 million euros), an improved access to tax relief, specific support to companies actively involved in coproductions, to promotion campaigns all over the EU, and to the digital conversion of the European film catalogues.
