- Eleven european films line up against 5 Asian films, one Iranian, one Georgian, two American and an Australian in the feature selection list for the 37th Director’s Fortnight

Eleven European productions or co-productions line up against 5 Asian films, one Iranian, one Georgian, two American and an Australian in the feature selection list for the 37th Director’s Fortnight (12-22 May). Revealed this lunchtime at the Image Forum in Paris by the delegate-general Olivier Père, who for the second year heads the parallel Cannes section, the list of films chosen from the Old Continent include four French films: We know when the work starts by Brigitte Roüan, The Moustache by Emmanuel Carrère, Hide and seek by Yves Caumon andCold Showers by Anthony Cordier. Also entered are two Portuguese productions (Alice by Marco Martins and Odete by Joao Pedro Rodrigues), a Dutch feature (Guernsey by Nanouk Leopold) and a British documentary (Sisters In Law by Kim Longinotto and Florence Ayisi). Three more films complete the European contingent Factotum by Bent Hamer (Norway-USA-Germany, Geminis by Albertina Carri(Argentina-France) and Seven Invisible Men by Sharunas Bartas (Lithuania-France-Portugal).
Also worth noting are two Special Screenings allowing the audience to see or revisit Ride The High country by American Sam Peckinpah and Cronaca Familiare by l’Italien Valrio Zurlini.
