, the story of a movie star whose life is in crisis and who flees the set of his latest film on a personal voyage to rediscover the meaning of his life. Scripted and played by Sam Shepard along Tim Roth, Jessica Lange and Sarah Polley, the film is produced by Peter Schwartzkopff.
Also in official selection but -as usual- out of competition, Woody Allen will play his Match Point on May 12 at the Palais. Jonathan Rhys-Myers plays a young tennis player of modest means who becomes involved with a wealthy family, but due to romantic entanglements with two women (Scarlett Johansson, Emily Mortimer), he is forced to commit a serious crime.
Woody Allen’s following film which will be shot in the UK this summer, will again have Scarlet Johansson in the lead role and Hanway as sales agent.

The other new titles that will be pre-sold by Hanway’s sales team under Tim Haslam’s aegis, include two films produced by Jeremy Thomas: Fast Food Nation, co-produced with Malcolm Mclaren, is the new film by the director of Before Sunset and School of Rock Richard Linklater. Linklater co-wrote the script with Eric Schlosser, based on Schlosser’s international best-selling novel. Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace) has the lead role, and principal photography is set for autumn 2005 with anticipated delivery in the summer 2006. The second film produced by Thomas is Carine Adler’s thriller Stray starring Emily Mortimer. The film will start shooting next winter.
Among Hanway’s titles in post-production is Terry Gilliam’s Tideland, a modern gothic fairytale celebrating the power of a child’s imagination, starring Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Tilly and Jodelle Ferland. Produced by Jeremy Thomas and Gabriella Martinelli, the film will premiere this summer.
