Lucky Red buys Iron Island
Lucky Red will distribute in Italy the Director's Fortnight closing film, Iron Island by the Iranian director Mohammed Rasoulof. The film is focused on a life of a group of indigents from the south of Iran who life in an abandoned ship. Lucky Red bought the film to Sheherazad Media Internacional through the European distribution network Indie Circle, which will also guarantee the film release in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland.
Medusa also bought the rights of August Rush by irish filmmaker Kirsten Sheridan, whose shooting starts in New York next august. Freddie Highmore, who played Peter in Finding Neverland will be an orphan with a great musical talent. The film will also star Liv Tyler y Robin Williams.
