Open Roads in New York

The fifth “Open Roads: New Italian Cinema”, organised by the AIP-Filmitalia and the Lincoln Center Film Society with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, has just started. From now till the 9th of June, thirteen features and some documentaries (brought together in a brand new section) will be screened, not just for the New-York public, but also for twenty selected American buyers (such as Sony Pictures Classics, New Yorker Films, Miramax Films, Think Films, and Wellspring Media). The Italian delegation, led by Giovanni Galoppi, President of AIP-Filmitalia, includes directors and artists from films featured in the programme : Paolo Sorrentino, Alessandro D’Alatri, Valentina Cervi, Stefano Mordini, Eugenio Cappuccio, and Carlo Verdone.

The 13 features being presented are : The Consequences of Love by Paolo Sorrentino, The Fever by Alessandro D’Alatri, Smalltown, Italy by Stefano Mordini, The Remains of Nothing by Antonietta De Lillo, I Truly Respect You by Eugenio Cappuccio, Radio Alice by Guido Chiesa, Changing Destiny by Daniele Gaglianone, Cefalonia by Riccardo Milani, Amatemi! by Renato De Maria, L'amore è eterno finché dura by Carlo Verdone, Come inguaiammo il cinema italiano by Daniele Ciprì and Franco Maresco, Un silenzio particolare by Stefano Rulli, and I nostri 30 anni:generazioni a confronto by Giovanna Taviani.
