The Italian cinema travels to Malta

‘Building bridges between Maltese culture and Italian culture, especially that of Sicily’, that is the purpose of the cultural festival organized in Malta with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute and the New Italian Cinema Society of Ragusa, running until the 11th of June.

The third Italian festival in Malta includes a section Italian Film Festival, an opera at the Manoel Theatre, and an organ concert at St. John’s Co-Cathedral.
The eleven Italian films selected, recent works (such as The Consequences of Love, winner of the David de Donatello 2005) and classics (including comedies starring Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia), will be screened at the St. James Cavalier auditorium. Young actors Vittoria Puccini and Giorgio Pasotti will attend the festival and meet the public.

The films presented at the festival are : Radio Alice, Come Inguaiammo il cinema Italiano, I Due Mafiosi, Endless Night, The Consequences of Love, I due Deputati, Miracolo a Palermo!, I Truly Respect You, Ma quando arrivano le Ragazze?, Due Mafiosi nel Far West, and I Due Sergenti del Generali Custer.
