New Board of directors at the DFI and SFI

The Culture Ministers in Denmark and Sweden have appointed new Boards of Directors for their respective film institutes, the Danish Film Institute (DFI) and the Swedish Film Institute (SFI).
At the DFI, Morten Hesseldahl, 40-years-old director of Bonnier Publishing group has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board for the next five years. Other members include Ulla Brickenhuus-Schack from DTU Innovation, Michael Ritto, MG for Music Business Organization (MBO), National Bank manager Bodil Nyboe Andersen, journalist Torbern Krogh, Birgit Nordsmark Henriksen, responsible for the digitalization of the Royal Library, and Prami Larsen, Head of the Film Workshop.

At the SFI, the new Chairman of the Board is Håkan Tidlund, Chairman of Boxer TV access, Terracon and Malmbergs Elektriska. His new appointment will last until 13 December 2007. The other six members include the Danish Kirsten Dalgaards, major distributor of European films in Denmark with Camera Film, and MD of Copenhagen’s historical cinema Grand Teatret; Anna Karin Ström, Head of Zentropa’s sales arm Trust Film Sales; Jasenko Selimovic, artistic director for Göteborg’s City Theatre; film professor and journalist Astrid Söderberg Widding and professor and filmmaker Göran du Rees.

The Boards of directors acts as senior management for the film institutes and are responsible for setting and following up on the institutes’ overall objectives and hiring of the Secretary General of the institutes responsible for the day to day running of the film institutes.
