Kosslick remains in Berlin

As a press release from the German Ministry of Culture revealed, Dieter Kosslick has just renewed his contract as Head of the Berlin Film Festival for five more years.

Kosslick, born iu 1948 in Pforzheim, started a career in communication before he turned to film funding, first in Hamburg, then in North Rhine-Westphalia (Filmstiftung NRW). In 2000, he was appointed by the Federal Government and the Land of Berlin to replace Moritz de Hadeln as director of the Berlin Festival, a function he has occupied since the 1st of May 2001.
Kosslick is also a member of the EFA (European Film Academy), and the FFA.
