Adam’s Apple and Manderlay in Toronto

will have their own special screenings during the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (8-17 September).

Adam’s Apples, Jensen’s third feature film, will screen in Toronto’s Contemporary Cinema section. The M & M Production starring Ulrich Thomsen, Mads Mikkelsen, Nicolas Bro and Paprika Steen, was released last April and has fast become one of the most successful Danish films of the year with 344,756 admissions. His second one, The Green Butchers [+see also:

, was his first one to premiere in the major Canadian film festival in 2003 as part of the ‘Discovery series’.

Hot docs EFP inside

Manderlay which already screened in competition in Cannes this year, will have its North American premiere in Toronto. It will continue its festival platforming with Karlovy Vary, Manilla, Montreal and Riga, and will be part of Toronto’s Masters serie. The film was produced by Vibeke Winderløv for Zentropa Entertainments, with several European co-production partners.
