New Production consultant at the FFF

The Finnish Film Foundation (FFF) has just appointed Petri Kemppinen as production consultant. He will take over from Petri Rossi on January 1, 2006 - until December 31st 2008- and will be responsible for overseeing the production of high quality feature films with strong theatrical potential, international co-productions and 60 minutes TV dramas. He will also be the FFF representative at international financing organizations such as Eurimages.
Kempinen led various positions at the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE such as buyer, producer and Head of programmes for youth. His current position is Commissioning Editor (education and science) at YLE Teena.
Around 10 feature films are supported by the FFF every year, with an increasing number of co-productions with other Nordic countries and Baltic States, especially Estonia.
