The ARP prepares Beaune 2005

One of the major professionals cinema organisations in France, the ARP (Civil Society of Authors - Directors - Producers) unveiled the programme for the15th Beaune Cinema Encounters which runs from the 21st to 23rd October and, each year, brings together the cream of French and European cinema. The four debates for 2005 consider the themes "OMC-UNESCO, what complementarity for which cultural diversity ?", "From TV without borders to the audiovisual without borders", "The upsets in the photochemical and analogique universes in the digital era" and "Cinematographic heritage in the digital era?" The European commissioner for Technology, Information and Media, Viviane Reding has already responded positively to the organisers' invitation.

Elsewhere, the ARP's delegate general Michel Gomez renewed his office team at the start of the week, with b>Claude Zidi succeeding Pierre Jolivet as President.
