Marco Muller, head of the festival, will reveal the full list of contestants at a press conference to be held on the 29th of July. This year, the Mostra will screen no more than sixty movies, considering the problems created last year by an overwhelming number of films. A parallel section entitled 'The secret history of Asian cinema' will focus on films from the Far East (China, Hong-Kong, Japan,India) which usually remain 'invisible'. Venice will also host, for the second time 'Venice Days', a section promoted by the authors within the ANAC as well as the API (Independent Authors and Producers).
