London on high alert following bombing attacks

In the wake of yesterday’s terrorist bomb attack on London’s transport system, Film London which coordinates all filming activities in the UK capital has issued an immediate press release to all film and media professionals with the following message: "In view of the emergency events in Central London, Film London would urge all film and media productions intending to shoot in London at this time to take strong regard of, and follow any instructions given by all of the government agencies including the police and the emergency services."
"Furthermore, Film London would advise all productions to contact both their legal representatives and insurance companies in every event. If you are in any doubt, please contact either your commissioner, broadcaster or other contractor representative to discuss your particular situation."

According to today’s latest official reports, yesterday’s four explosions on London underground system and on a double deck bus caused the death of some 37 people and injured hundreds of others.
Two high profile productions are currently filming in London: Anthony Minghella’s Breaking And Entering in its 7th week shoot, and Woody Allen’s second feature film set in London, in its second week shoot. But according to production executives, filming should continue as scheduled.

Other repercussions of yesterday’s bombing attack on the UK capital include the cancellation of today’s ‘London Film Forum’ event and most film professionals could not reach their West End offices.
