Paris Cinéma honours Le Ciel tourne

The list grows for the documentary Le Ciel tourne, first feature from the Spaniard Mercedes Alvarez. Having already won this year the Tiger Award at Rotterdam, the du Grand Prix de Cinéma du Réel Paris, the Uno sguardo nuovo at the Infinity Festival (Italy), three awards at the Independent Festival in Buenos Aires, Le Ciel tourne received the public’s award at the 3rd Paris Cinéma which finished last night. Having won the competition for best premiere against numerous films at Cannes, Le Ciel tourne comes out on Wednesday in France (ID Distribution) and will be featured in Focus next week in Cineuropa.

The Paris event also applauded Un beau matin by the French duo David et Charlotte Lowe in the children’s section. Produced by Lowe Productions in co-production with the French distributor Pretty Pictures, the film retraces the rise of little Pierre through the music of Prokofiev and is released on the 9th November.
