Three Spanish films in the theatres

At a time of year when big screens are invaded by blockbusters, two national comedies and a documentary are part of the list of this week's releases in Spain.

La Piel Vendida (Sold Flesh) is a documentary about the Spanish hard-core film industry that tries to leave behind the usual clichées, by seeking out the human side of actors, producers and filmmakers who expose their experiences on an industry which makes around 350 million euros a year in Spain. Screened at the last Gijón Film Festival, the film was produced by Kines Producciones y Tiempos Difíciles Films .

Fin de Curso is a teen comedy directed by Miguel Martí based on a script written by Juan Carlos Rubio. The film is about a group of students from the Lisbon Spanish School whose opinions are divided between going on a school trip to Paris or Benidorm, known as the "Costa Blanca's Benidorm". Played by young Jordí Vilches, Yohana Cobo, Álvaro Monje y Aida Folch Fin de Curso is a production by Pedro Uriol distributed by Manga Films.

The third Spanish title release marks the return of Inés París y Daniela Fejerman, after the succes of My Mother Prefers Women. They continue their daring style in a comedy about artificial insemination starring Argentinean actor Ernesto Alterio (El otro lado de la cama) and Leticia Dolera (Besos de gato). Produced by Cesar Benítez for Bocaboca, the film was coproduced by British Future Film Limited in the framework of a bilateral c-oproduction agreement between Spain and Great Britain.
