Canet films Ne le dis à personne

Turn-over season is in full flow in France, with the start yesterday in Paris of principal photography on the second feature of the actor Guillaume Canet: Ne le dis à personne. Adaptation of the thriller by American novelist Harlan Coben, the film has an impressive cast, including the director himself, François Cluzet, Nathalie Baye, Marie-José Croze, Kristin Scott-Thomas, André Dussollier, Jean Rochefort, François Berléand and Marina Hands.

Ne le dis à personne retraces the inquiry by a man (François Cluzet), haunted by the disappearance of his wife (Marie-José Croze), assassinated eight years before, just after their marriage, but he discovers recent photos on the Internet. Nathalie Baye plays a lawyer, Kristin Scott-Thomas the best friend of the missing woman, André Dussollier the main character’s father, Marina Hands, François Berléand a cop and Guillaume Canet the son of rich stable owner (Jean Rochefort). Produced by Alain Attal for Les Productions du Trésor who already guided the first highly-regarded feature by Guillaume Canet (Mon Idole), Ne le dis à personne will have a 14 week shoot and a budget of 11,7 million euros. It will be released on French screens by Mars Distribution in April 2006.
