Knallhart is shootin
Knallhart, Detlev Buchs's new project, is currently shooting in Berlin. This very modern film, produced by Claus Boje for Boje Buck Produktions and co-produced by WDR and ARTE, focuses on a young provincial man who comes to the city where he gets slowly but surely ivolved in the criminal environment. The cast includes David Kross, Arnel Taci, Hans Löw, and Jenny Elvers-Elbertzhagen.
43-year-old Detlev Bucks himself grew up in a farm in Schleswig-Holstein before coming to Berlin to study at the German Film and TV Academy. He has made several features, such as Little Rabbit (Karniggels, 1991), No More Mr Nice Guy (Wir koennen auch anders, 1993), Jailbirds (Maennerpension, 1996), and Love Your Neighbor! (Liebe Deine Naechste!, 1998).
Knallhart, which was granted last May a financial help from the BKM (the federal culture and media support fund), will be released next year by Delphi.
