La France for France

The aptly-named Cécile de France has been chosen to represent France at the 2003 edition of Shooting Stars, organised by European Film Promotion to run concurrently with the Berlin International Film Festival (6-16 Feb). De France is one of the stars of Cédric Klapisch’s latest hit, L’auberge espagnol. Born in Belgium, de France’s professional profile includes appearances in hit films and TV dramas like Edouard Molinaro’s Nana and a starring role in Richard Berry’s directorial feature debut entitled L’art (delicat) de la séduction. She has also acted on stage, namely in Claudia Stavisky’s Electre. She is currently on the set of Ivan Calbérac’s directorial feature, Irène .
